Thursday 9th. Orderly officer – inspect dinners, cook houses rations – orderlies etc. And see any admissions – and lights out 9 p.m. Raining all day.

Bed at 10. Up at 10-45 to a admit a case – Convoy of 70 at 2 a.m. Very warm night, like summer, sat in mess room with doors and windows open.
