Sunday Sept 17. March to Fosse 10 near Mazingarbe, poured rain all the way and everyone wet through about 14 miles. On arrival had to wait about 3 hours before getting under cover as billeting party had gone astray. Finally got into billet in a miners cottage about 4 p.m. and got dried in front of stove and had hot coffee. Men all billeted in cottages.
