Thursday. April 13. Left Waterloo 4.p.m. M. & V. to see me off; and arrived S’pton 6.50. Go on board ‘Caesarea’ a Channel Isle boat – got a bunk and sailed 7.30. Rough crossing but quite well and slept most of way.
