Dec 15. Start to march north to Beauval south of Doullens where billeted for night. My leave note having arrived, I start off with Capt. Nicholson of 49 F.A. in Ford ambulance at 1.a.m. to catch leave train at Doullens. Had to wait till 5 a.m. Train late as usual.
