February 8, 1916

Feb.8. Two wounded at 1-30am. From 9 to 3pm
continuous stream of Bosch shells bursting 100 to
200 yds behind us, finding a R.F.A.
old battery. About 3-30 four Whizbangs on
top of us brought down plenty of tiles and bits of
outhouses; retired to cellar. Later found barn
[abutting of?] on road in a very shaky condition
sent for engineers to prop it up or pull it down.
C/o. up in evening. To evacuate in 6 days, and go
into rest. Dinner at R.F.A. mess.
