July 22, 1916

July 22. Marched to Behencourt – at 9-30. About 3 miles only.
Pretty little village on banks of a small river – got a
very comfortable billet in a cottage and good mess room.
In aft rode out with Major Le Houhye to look
for a canteen. Country very pretty, hilly and
wooded.
